With "collaborative music-making" as part of our mission, we get to cross paths with a lot of remarkable people.

Here are just a few of the things going on with artists who've collaborated with us.*

  • Violinist Rebecca Harris was nominated with The Crossing for a 2017 Grammy Award for their recording of Thomas Lloyd's "Bonhoeffer."
  • Movement artist Lela Aisha Jones was named a 2016 Pew Fellow.
  • Vocalist Joanna Pascale is a Kimmel Center Jazz Residency Artist for 2016-2017.
  • Percussionist Josh Robinson received the "Community Hero Award" from the Center for Grieving Children.
  • Poet Yolanda Wisher was interviewed by the Contemporary Black Canvas  podcast.
  • Duende, a collaborative ensemble comprised of cellist Gabriel Cabezas, dancer Chloe Felesina and composer Alyssa Weinberg (originally paired by LiveConnections in 2014!), along with guitarist Jordan Dodson, presented "Quilt."

I'm also thrilled to welcome Nathea Lee as LiveConnections' new Director of Development. She joined us in December to head fundraising. Learn more about Nathea here, and feel free to reach out and This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. !
